Northeast Ohio is home to unique and irreplaceable resources: the sandy soils and micro-climate
created by the proximity to Lake Erie which are ideal for growing grapes. This region has been
recognized and valued for its vineyards for generations.
However, many of our growers in the region are aging, and their beautiful rolling vineyards are under significant development pressure. Once our prime vineyard land is replaced by condominiums and homes, it can never be reclaimed for agriculture. If you enjoy wine and the bucolic atmosphere of our wine country, you can play a part in preserving it so that you and you great grandchildren can continue the experience. |
